The problem is that when you lose someone, it’s not the fact that the whole tiny microcosm of a world you’ve created around them disintegrates that is the worst; neither is it the fact that everything you see or do reminds you of them. It’s the thought of knowing that after having tried you out, you have been marked as not good enough.
